Two World Records broken!
The ride looked even more amazing than last year. I don't have any shots of the massed riders yet but these are some that have been e-mailed to me.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped make it happen and Thank you to everyone who participated.

Jake

Media attention is getting intense in the last week before the ride. Today I spoke to Ms Toni Matthews on ABC’s 702. The interview went really well and I was joined by Karen-Jane Eyre Editor in chief of B+W Magazine who spoke very enthusiastically about the ride. Between us we got to mention just about everything we could have wished for.

Southern Courier did a big colour spread on our event which had a very positive tone and as it is distributed throughout the Eastern Suburbs it should be a great promotion for us.

When I got home I found a copy of “DestinAsian” in my letterbox which is an Indonesian travel magazine which is sold throughout Asia and also contained an article on SBAR.

I broke a pedal on my bike last night and had to take it in to Cheeky Monkey and beg for an urgent repair, as usual the guys there were wonderful and had it ready (with brand new cranks) by this afternoon. I met a few other cyclists at the shop who are all coming along on Sunday.

Letterboxing

Today we fulfilled the City Council requirement that we deliver a flyer to every house on the route of the bike ride. Lots of volunteers turned up to help out, unfortunately I didn't get photos of them all. After walking the whole bike route we were pretty hot and tired so we went down to Coogee Beach for a swim. Feeling refreshed we got back to work and stuck posters up all along the main shopping strip and beachfront. There were thousands of people walking around so the posters should get good exposure.

Putting up Posters

Paul Johnson, Natasha and the girls went over to Randwick with me today. We stuck up posters and checked out the route, looks like we will have to change the start slightly due to some construction work at the Uni. We also put up lots of posters in Maroubra and gave out some cards.
