A nice surprise was waiting for me in the letter box when I got home tonight. These photos are from professional photographer James Alcock, as you can see there are some very high quality images. One of these appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald the day after the ride.

One of Sydney's top female freelance photographers is the marvellously talented Tanya Lake. Tanya joined us for her second Sydney Body Art Ride and once again proved that the best way to get shots of the ride is to take part. There's no better place to be as a photographer than inside the ride as a freewheeling painted participant.

Beautiful photos are what makes organising the ride worth all the effort so I hope Tanya will be joining us again next year.

Winner of last year's best professional photographer prize was SBAR's own official photographer Peter Steele. (N.B. The prize is judged by the editors of B+W Magazine, not by SBAR officials)

Pete seems to have really got the hang of photographing naked painted people! Check out these great shots from this year's ride. There are so many good shots on Pete's disc that I had a hard time choosing. One of the things I really enjoyed about these photos is the sequences of shots showing people getting covered in more and more paint. Pete also seems to have a knack for getting the subjects of his pictures to work with him to produce a great photo.
